Life & Style Trends for 2017

#1. Velvet. Until about a week ago the only thing velvet that I considered to own was a velvet couch but now I see everything is comeing in velvet…couches, bows, clothes, home decor. Holy velvet! First floral now velvet…grandma’s house is back in style!

#2 Vegetables. I think in 2017 we will see lots of vegetable dishes…like cauliflower pizza crust. Initially it sounds weird but honestly I think we would all be happy to drop a few pounds and incorporate more cancer fighting cruciferous veggies in our meal plan.

#3 Artisanal Butcher Shops. I am not the greatest cook, actually I’m terrible… so this would be amazing. At an Artisanal Butcher Shop you can buy meat or bring meat and they cook it for you, because lets face it, most of us millennials can’t cook and basically count on their personal chef Trader Joe for everything… Oh. just me? Hah A new local one opened by me called Off the Block.

#4 Green. Everything green. As I mentioned on my Instagram account if you follow me their; the Pantone color of 2017 is Green!

#5 Home Robots. Alexa and OK Google are becoming very popular. I think more and more people will be adopting them as apart of their family in 2017. Be careful though…I heard on NPR this morning that one of those bots is being used in a murder case…they’re always listening. Kind of creepy…even though supposedly they are only supposed to record what you address to them and there is supposed to be a way to have them delete the history… too techy for me, but anyway. Home bots.

#6 Buffalo Check. I love it and it’s everywhere! In my own home I love the black and white version…large checks, small check. Check wallpaper, blankets, napkins, pillow covers, bedding, the list goes on and I LOVE it all!

Future Trends:

-Cars that drive themselves

-Space Travel…sorry I just watched Rogue One 🙂 the new Star Wars movie…it was my first time…not bad. 🙂
